Happy New Year!!

Better late than never right? Our new year was not very interesting at all. My brother and his friend came by and the guys played Halo while I chatted with my favorite mommies online. They stopped it long enough to see the ball drop then went back to playing. I did get a kiss at midnight though!!
Kalee started back to school on Thursday and was very excited to be going back! Gracee went back on Friday but that was her last day. I've decided to keep her home for now and just teach her myself. I hope to find a place for her to go to pre-k next year though. We'll see.

I donated my hair to Locks Of Love last week. I thought it was a new year and I needed a new do so I chopped all 10" off! I will have to come back and post later with pics. I had a LOT of hair.

Next weekend we will be rearranging the girls rooms. I was going to have Gracee and Avree share a room but now I am not so sure that will be the best idea. I was up all night with both of them and they aren't even in the same room together! UGH! We'll see. Kalee wants her own room and I want to keep the playroom! But if we need to give each girl their own room then I guess that is what we will do!!! FUN STUFF!! I will take lots of pics and post those!

Oh yeah and yesterday we had a family Holiday Reunion. I saw some of my grandfather's sisters that I have met before but don't even remember meeting. I was 7 when he passed away and haven't seen them since then! It was a nice time seeing all my cousins, seems like I only see them during the holidays. There is another baby on the way! My grandmother has 7 grandkids and 9 great grandkids and one on the way, due in June! My dad told me that his sister is catching up with him on grandkids. He has 4 and she has 3 and one on the way! I said well, it won't be us for awhile at least!!! LOL!!!!

Kalee's birthday is coming up and we are doing a sleepover with a few of her close friends! That is going to be fun. We will be painting nails, doing makeovers, tattoos, karoke, twister, lots and lots of fun things for the evening are planned and Kalee is very excited!!!!!

That is all for now...look soon for added pics of my new do!!!

Christmas Parties and more....

Wow, this month has been super busy! I've been shopping, doing class parties, girl scouts events and more!!! It's been hectic but fun!! We went to see Santa like we do every year and Gracee would have NOTHING to do with him and would not come anywhere close to him. But we got some good pics of Kalee and Avree and my nephew Hayden with Santa. I don't have any pics on my computer right now...I will post some later though.

We had Gracee's class party on the 17th and she enjoyed Avree and I being there to celebrate Jesus' Birthday Party with her. The day before David and I baked 6 loaves of Pumpkin Bread to give out as part of thier teacher's gifts. They really enjoyed that!!

Kalee's Class Party was on the 19th and I brought cookies and juice for her class. It's nice going to her class because everyone always greets me so politely....but they say "Hi, Kalee's MOM!!!!" LOL!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

Mrs. Claus dropped by to give everyone a candy cane and the kids really enjoyed that...

Last night we took the kids to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad to ride on The North Pole Express. We had a blast. Gracee again wanted nothing to do with Santa when he came on but other than that we had a blast! We sang lots of Christmas Carols and danced and had a really good time! We took lots of pictures!

Here are the girls on the train...

My girls and nephew in front of the train...

Starting off....

I am not much of a writer but I decided to give this blog thing a try. We will see how it goes. Let's see what can I write about for today. Today I got up at my usual time to get Kalee up and ready for school. Got her off then next was getting Gracee, Avree, and myself ready. We had a full today. After I dropped the girls off I had to hurry home and get our hermit crabs for Kalee's show and tell day. Then Avree and I ran a few errands and went back to Kalee's school for lunch. The rest of the day was pretty laid back and normal. Other than my hubby coming home from work very sick. Well, I guess that is all for tonight.

We're Going to Georgia

WoooHOOO!!!! We are going to GA in 5 days!!!! I can't wait!! I haven't seen anybody there since we left in 2 years!!! They are all excited to be seeing us too. Kalee remembers a lot about GA and misses everyone there too. She still talks about moving back to GA one day. Maybe one day we will and maybe not. Who knows what God has in store for us. We have some really great friends there. They were "Our Family" since we didn't have any family living there.

David and I went through a lot of trials while living there. Life was hard. But while there we put God back in our realtionship and since then we have grown a lot. I thank God everyday for putting these people in our life to help us get through the most trying times of our marriage. They will forever be family to us. I miss them all so much that is why I am soooooo EXCITED to go back and see them.

I will be sure to take lots of pictures while we are there and post them so everyone can see.

YAY!!! 5 more days!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!!

Kalee's Surgery and Hospital Stay

For those of you who don't know, Kalee had to have surgery Monday night to have her appendix removed. We stayed in the hospital until Saturday morning. It was quite a week.Wow, this week has been something else! Let me tell you one of the worst things about being a parent is sending your child off to a total stranger to have them be cut open so they could get better. While you know YOU HAVE to do it, it's really hard. She fell asleep while we were waiting on her to be taken in, but before that she wasn't worried about it at all. I was surprised. I told her what was going to happen to prepare her and I told her that she would be asleep while they did it and would not feel a thing. She just said OK and that was it. My mom and I prayed with her before they came to take us down. It was so nerve racking, I just wanted it to be over with so I didn't have to worry anymore. I got to get up on the hospital bed with her to go down to surgery and waited with her. All the nurses were so nice, they came over to talk to her and tell her how pretty she was and stuff like that. She was eating it all up. They kept telling me not to worry, I guess they could see it on my face. But how could I NOT worry?! Anyway, when the time came she was asleep on me and I slipped away, the nurse gave her the sedative and I kissed her on her forehead and told her to please take care of my baby! I didn't want to leave. It was so hard. But I did and I went and met my mom in surgery waiting area and paced the whole hour and 10 minutes! They have a screen in the room and it tells you when the surgery starts and when they are closing her up and then when they are done. I think I checked it every minute. I paced the room the halls I tried to sit and couldn't! Thank GOD Avree stayed asleep because I don't think I would have been able to sit and nurse her. When the band aid appeared on the screen to tell me she was finished I paced the halls waiting for someone to come tell me what was going on. The anesthesiologist (sp?) came out first to give me Kalee's teeth. They were loose and she said they had to be pulled. Kalee was very happy about this. She told me she was fine and the doc would be here soon. SO I waited and paced some more. Finally the doc came out and said that it took a little longer because her appendix was up behind her colon and they had to do some digging and therefore her incision was a little bit longer than normal. But she was OK. So now I wanted to see her, I really didn't care what the doc said as long as it was the fact that she was OK. I got to go back and see her and oh it was so hard seeing her in that bed so pale and so out of it.Trust me there is a big difference in seeing them sleep and seeing them just come out of surgery. She opened her eyes and smiled and then closed them back again. We got her to her room and she slept the rest of the night. I didn't sleep hardly at all. I was so nervous for her. I am getting so emotional just writing about it! The next day she slept most of the day. But that evening she started actually crying and asking me why I would not let her eat. All she wanted to do was eat or drink something and I couldn't let her. I felt like the worst mother on this planet. She cried for about an hour that night about how she was starving. I know she didn't understand but boy was it hard NOT to give her anything. I wanted to cry so bad. I just put my head down and prayed with her for her. All she had to do was pass gas and she could eat. That was all and she couldn't and that made her mad. I seriously thought about lying to the nurses so she could have something to drink but I knew that it would make things worse if I did. Finally the next day she got up said she was hungry went to the bathroom laid in her bed and said mom, I just farted call the nurse! It was so funny and I was so relieved for her. By the time the nurse got in there she had tooted several times. I took her to the playroom and she actually pooped in her pants. She said oops, I am sorry. But at that point she still had no control over her bowels. She did it again several hours later and the doc came in and gave the OK for her to eat!!!! I wished I would have gotten out my camera and taken a picture of her face. She was so happy and that made me so happy! This has been an ordeal I never want to face again.
